Emeco is an American company founded in 1944 to make all-aluminum chairs for the ships of the U.S. Navy. Acquired in 1998, the company is then closer to the architect Philippe Starck, to create a series of products that have united the historical industrial capacities Emeco with classic designs of Mr. Starck.
